With limited institutional resources and competing demands on programs and individuals, there is an increasing need to establish internal and external partnerships in the development and expansion of campus undergraduate research, scholarship, and creative inquiry. Join this Connect UR Pre-Conference Workshop facilitated by CUR Members from a diverse group of institutions to discuss effective partnerships, learn about the partnerships they have developed and how these have evolved, share your successes and challenges, and leave with a plan to move forward.

- Defining partnership and the characteristics of effective partnerships
- Identifying possible partners and developing relationships
- Sharing internal and external Models for Collaboration.

- Session One: Partnering for Programming (Division of Research, Research Librarians, Career Services, Academic Advisors, Registrar’s, College Deans, Scholarships and Fellowships, Outreach)
- Activity 1: A) Who and how are you currently partnering with for programming? Who are your new partners? B) Partnering wisely–Reflecting on reasons for partnering and how both groups benefit from the partnership. c) Who could you partner better with and what would the first steps be?

- Session Two: Partnering for Funding (Philanthropy, Industry, Community, Federal/State, internal funding)
- Activity 2: A) Who and how are you currently partnering with for funding or Who are your new partners? B) How are you telling your undergraduate research story?
