Grinnell College’s Professor Garrison Selected as 2023 CURAH Awardee

Dr. John Garrison, professor of English at Grinnell College in Iowa, has been selected as the 2023 Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) – Arts and Humanities Faculty Mentor Awardee.

Celebrating CUR Division 2022 Awardees

The Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) recognizes its divisional award recipients for the first half of 2022. CUR’s community aligns across its thirteen divisions including, At-Large, Arts and Humanities, Biology, Chemistry, Education, Engineering, Geosciences, Health Sciences, Mathematics and Computer Sciences, Physics and Astronomy, Psychology, Social Sciences, and Undergraduate Research Programs.​

2021 Posters on the Hill Spotlights Exemplary Undergraduate Research Projects for Policymakers, Scholars, and the Public

On April 27–28, undergraduate students from colleges and universities in 42 states and the District of Columbia will participate in the 2021 Posters on the Hill event, sponsored by the Council on Undergraduate Research. In a virtual public poster session on April 28 from 2–4 pm ET, undergraduate researchers and their mentors from institutions such as Edmonds College and Grinnell College to Norwich University and Penn State University will share their research projects.

Montana State’s Gregory Young Selected as the 2021 CUR-Arts and Humanities Faculty Mentor Awardee

Gregory Young, professor in the School of Music and founding director of the Undergraduate Scholars Program at Montana State University in Bozeman, has been selected as the 2021 CUR-Arts and Humanities Faculty Mentor Awardee. The award consists of a plaque and $1,000 for the recipient’s work with undergraduate researchers.

Now Accepting Applications for Arts and Humanities Student Scholarship

The Division of Arts and Humanities is offering four $300 scholarships to support undergraduate student research and creative inquiry projects at any stage of development up to and including presentation. The goal of this funding is to encourage diverse, innovative, and engaged UR in the disciplines defined by CUR as arts and humanities.
