What is the primary focus of CUR?

CUR believes that faculty members enhance their teaching and contribution to society by remaining active in research and by involving undergraduates in research. CUR’s leadership works with agencies and foundations to enhance research opportunities for faculty and students. CUR provides support for faculty development. Our publications and outreach activities are designed to share successful models and strategies for establishing and institutionalizing undergraduate research programs. We assist administrators and faculty members in improving and assessing the research environment at their institutions. Who can become a member of CUR?

CUR has three types of memberships. Institutional memberships are available to institutions of any classification, from all across the world. Discounts are available to retired individuals, students, Post Docs, five or more individuals from an institution joining or renewing with one payment, and individuals paying for two years dues at one time. The third classification of membership is an Affiliate membership. CUR Affiliates are other organizations that wish to support undergraduate research. Where do we go to add a faculty member to our enhanced membership?

The prime contact on the membership can login to the Company Profile through the Membership Tab of the CUR Website, by clicking Update My Membership, then Review Individual Profile, login, and select view Company Profile.  Once on the profile page, click edit company, scroll down to individuals associated with the institution, add the individual, then edit the institutional representatives, and select the individual you just added in one of the blank membership representative dropdowns.

Alternatively, the individual can visit the Become a Member page, select the Individual Membership Online Application, and select your institution's name on the dropdown, and process the form.
