Learning Through Research

2017 Posters on the Hill

Washington, DC

The Council on Undergraduate Research is pleased to announce the application dates for its 21st annual Poster on the Hill event in Washington, D.C. This is a competitive event, giving students the opportunity to showcase their research to congressional members, meet with their representatives, and learn about advocacy for undergraduate research.

In 2016 sixty top student research projects were selected out of hundreds of applications. The Council on Undergraduate Research awarded planetary scientist Lujendra Ojha its CUR Fellows award. Mr. Ojha was a 2011 Posters on the Hill awardee. It was as an undergraduate student that he helped make one of the biggest scientific discoveries of recent history: evidence of flowing water on Mars.
