Faculty, staff, and administrators who are interested in the mission of CUR and supporting undergraduate research may join CUR as an individual member.
 
In addition to receiving access to CUR’s exclusive benefits and resources, individual members can also affiliate with one of CUR’s 13 divisions (11 disciplinary, 2 interdisciplinary) and receive full voting rights. Individual members are also eligible to be elected to serve as Councilors of their division and may volunteer to work on CUR-wide or divisional committees.

Individuals who reside in Canada receive a 25-percent discount on the member dues listed above and those who reside in countries other than the United States and Canada receive a 50-percent discount on the member dues listed above.

Faculty, Staff, and Administrator Member Benefits
  • A subscription to the peer-reviewed Scholarship and Practice of Undergraduate Research (SPUR) and access to the searchable archive featuring scholarly work that examines effective practices and novel approaches, explores pedagogical models, and highlights the results of assessment of undergraduate research. Members are encouraged to submit articles to SPUR for consideration. 
  • The ability to network and collaborate with other members to discuss issues, solve problems, and share resources in the CUR Community. The CUR Community includes an open forum for all members as well as special networks for sharing job postings and a student journals community.
  • A subscription to the biweekly CUR E-News.
  • Discounts for events, publications, and services
    • Discounts to attend CUR Conferences and CUR Dialogues that feature workshops and opportunities to network with peers and representatives of funding agencies. (The discounts alone are greater than a year's membership dues.)
    • Discount to attend the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR)

    • Discounts on CUR publication purchases.
    • Discount on Wiley publications.
  • Access to special information on funding opportunities, jobs, and other resources for undergraduate research on the members-only portion of CUR's website and in the online CUR Community, including:
    • Open-source bibliographies on Assessment and Integrating Research into the Curriculum
    • Assessment Resources and Toolkit
  • The opportunity to develop and be recognized for leadership skills within the academic community by serving on CUR committees and on the General Council or participating in departmental consulting, speaking, and other leadership activities.
  • The resources to help you support research in the undergraduate environment, including the development of national policy affecting undergraduate research, access to our advocacy toolkit, and a monthly newsletter on the current status of higher education policy.
