Undergraduate Research Week

On November 16, 2010, the U.S. House of Representatives declared the week of April 11, 2011, as Undergraduate Research Week. Since that time, CUR has designated a week in April each year as Undergraduate Research Week.  This year,  April 9-13, 2018, is Undergraduate Research Week.

Showcase Your Activities for Undergraduate Research Week!

CUR has created a listing of special events for Undergraduate Research Week.
To submit your event, please send the following to urw@cur.org:

Pondering potential activities for Undergraduate Research Week? Review last year's events; think about coordinating with other April events such as Mathematics and Statistics Awareness Month and Black Women's History Month; and/or consider working with the campus government relations office to have the governor, mayor, or other government official declare the week Undergraduate Research Week.

Posters on the Hill

CapitolPosters on the Hill (POTH) is CUR’s signature student advocacy event held in partnership with the American Chemical Society. Accompanied by their faculty mentors, 60 exceptional undergraduates will share their research on April 17-18, 2018, with Members of Congress, congressional staff, and federal government officials, as well as highlight the value of federal investment in undergraduate research.

National Conference on Undergraduate Research

NCUR_2018final_logo_for_webCUR’s largest annual student event, the National Conference on Undergraduate Research, will kick off at the University of Central Oklahoma during Undergraduate Research Week! The event will host more than 4,000 undergraduate researchers from a wide range of backgrounds, disciplines, and regions. Students will present unique research through oral and poster presentations, attend a graduate school recruitment fair, and network with faculty and peers.

Registry of Undergraduate Researchers

The Registry of Undergraduate Researchers can assist undergraduate students in pursuing a graduate degree. This registry facilitates matchmaking between undergraduates with research experience and a desire to pursue an advanced degree, and graduate schools seeking high-quality students who are well prepared for research. The registry is open to students and graduate schools/employers in nearly all fields.  For more information, visit the registry webpage.

Resources Pages

One of CUR's greatest strengths is our membership base.  Members are always willing to share resources and ideas.  Please check out our new Resources Pages.  These lists are for all undergraduate research practitioners, be they individual faculty, students, or institutions.  The lists are interactive, so we hope that if you know of an additional resource that is not listed, that you will add it using the submission page link at the bottom of each listing.
