Prayer, worship, and meditation spaces will be available to NCUR participants for the duration of the conference. Danforth Chapel will be large, group prayer space and Strand Union Building 236 will be available for individual use. The International Graduate Student Experience at MSU: Application to Graduation 

11:30 am – 12:20 pm

Location: SUB 168

The Office of International Programs will host a 25 minute facilitator led discussion panel of current international students, OIP International Recruitment/Admissions team, and International Students and Scholars. The remaining 25 minutes are saved for Q&A between the audience and the panel. Snacks and beverages are provided during the session.

Panel will discuss topics from getting involved in your field to campus life. Staff from the International Admissions and the International Student Services teams will be available to answer questions.

Messengers for Health is a community-based research partnership between members of the Apsaalooke nation and students and faculty at MSU Bozeman.  Messengers for Health has successfully worked with dozens of students over the years and embrace second generation students as well.  Students are integrated in every phase of the research partnership.  This presentation will explore the relationships among MSU student researchers, and their role as members of the Messengers for Health team. We will discuss key concepts of orienting new members, how we support and promote each other, and mentoring each other while maintaining a healthy and fun work environment.

NSF Proposal Writing Workshop for Tribal Colleges, Faculty, and Collaborators

We have a rare opportunity to meet and learn from veteran NSF Program Officer Dr. Sally O’Connor, who is coming to Bozeman for the NCUR conference will be moderating a proposal writing workshop about opportunities for Tribal Colleges. Co-Moderating this sessions is Dr. Laura Stanley, MSU Computer Science Associate Professor. All are in invited.

Women’s Networking Event

Affinity Spaces 

7:00 am - 8:15 am

Location: Various -- see below. Breakfast and coffee provided.

Affinity Spaces are intentional spaces for people from marginalized and underrepresented identities to build community, share resources, and heal with one another during events in which they are often a numeric minority. All affinity session breakfasts will take place on Friday, March 27th from 7:00-8:15 AM on the first floor of Reid Hall. NCUR participants are encouraged to attend one or multiple of these sessions during this time. Allies (though appreciated) are not encouraged to attend all sessions, but are encouraged to attend the ally affinity session that same morning in Reid Hall.
