Bozeman, home of Montana State University, is a city of about 47,000 people, located in Southwest Montana. With Montana's busiest airport serving as gateway to Yellowstone National Park 90 miles south, Bozeman is about a 3 hour drive from Missoula, a 2 hour drive from Billings, a 7-hour drive from Salt Lake City, UT and an 8-hour drive from Boise, ID. 

Air Travel 

Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport (BZN) is located 11 miles from the Montana State campus, and NCUR-designated hotels are located in between. Bozeman Yellowstone has direct flights from numerous hub airports served by United, Alaska, Delta, American, Allegiant, Frontier and JetBlue airlines. These include Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; San Francisco, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Long Beach, CA; Las Vegas, NV; Denver, CO; Salt Lake City, UT; Dallas/Ft Worth, TX; Houston, TX; Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN; Chicago, IL; Detroit, MI; Atlanta, GA; New York, NY (JFK only); and Newark, NJ. 

Regional and Local Bus Service

Greyhound bus service stops in Bozeman, on 7th Avenue at Walmart, directly across the street from many of our 7th Avenue hotels. 

Ground Transportation Options from Airport 

We will be running an hourly shuttle bus that departs on the hour from the airport to conference hotels. More information will be available in late winter 2020. Several hotels also offer shuttle services; check with your hotel for availability and arrangements. Rideshare services (Uber and Lyft) and taxis are available, though limited, for about $20 - $35 depending on your dropoff location. 

Directions to Campus from the Airport 

From Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport, follow the signs to exit the airport that say “Bozeman.” Go straight through the light at the airport’s entrance and follow signs for I-90 East (through several roundabouts). Follow I-90 E for 6 miles to exit 305 for N. 19th Ave. Turn right on 19th and drive for 3.7 miles to W. Kagy Blvd. Turn left on Kagy and drive .5 miles to S. 11th Ave. Turn left on 11th, and the parking lot on your right will be available for NCUR visitor parking. The Brick Breeden Fieldhouse (with registration and plenaries) is the large domed building at the end of the parking lot.
