CUR "How To" Series

The first publication in the "How To" series was How to Get Started in Research, by Thomas Goodwin (Hendrix College) and Bert Holmes (Lyon College), published in 1996. The book was so popular that we printed a revised Second Edition in 1999, by Thomas Goodwin (Hendrix College) and K. Elaine Hoagland (CUR National Executive Officer).

The second title in the "How To" series, published in July 2000, was How to Develop and Administer Institutional Undergraduate Research Programs, by Toufic Hakim (Kean University).

The third title in the series, How to Get a Tenure-track Position at a Predominantly Undergraduate Institution, by Michelle Bushey (Trinity University), Deborah Lycan (Lewis & Clark College), and Patricia Videtich (Grand Valley State University) was published in 2001.

A fourth title, How to Mentor Undergraduate Researchers, by Carolyn Ash Merkel (California Institute of Technology) and Shenda M. Baker (Harvey Mudd College), was published in 2002.
