The first April Dialogue took place in 1993. The meetings were run
in odd-numbered years, however, in 2001 there was no meeting. In
2003 the name changed to CUR Dialogues as the meeting took place in
February.

- 1997, National Institutes of Health - 402 attendees
- 1999, National Science Foundation - 270 attendees
- 2003, George Mason University - 275 attendees
