Recruit Students with Research Experience
Graduate Schools: Register now to obtain data on undergraduates with graduate school aspirations and undergraduate research experience.
The Council on Undergraduate Research hosts a Registry of Undergraduate Researchers trained in North America who wish to attend graduate schools in the U.S. The purpose of this registry is to facilitate matchmaking between undergraduates with research experience and a desire to pursue an advanced degree, and graduate schools seeking high quality students who are well prepared for research. Currently the Registry is open to students and graduate schools in the fields of Anthropology/Archaeology, Arts/Humanities, Biology/Biochemistry, Business, Chemistry/Biochemistry, Economics, Education, Engineering, English and Linguistics, Environmental Studies, Geosciences, Health Professions, History, Journalism and Communications, Mathematics/Computer Science, Physics/ Astronomy, Political Science, Psychology, Social Work and Sociology.
Student-supplied records including the student’s GPA, research experience, and other relevant information are available to bona fide graduate schools that contract with CUR for this service. The data are available electronically via a password to an online database. Organizations or companies seeking the students’ information for other marketing purposes are not granted access. Graduate Schools pay an annual fee of $1500 for access to the full database, or single departments may acquire access to student data from their disciplinary field only (e.g., Chemistry/Biochemistry; Biology/Biochemistry; Physics/Astronomy; Psychology, etc.) for $300.
The Undergraduate Registry Database contains a list of our institutional subscribers, if they wish to be listed. Graduate schools may provide a link to their websites, and may provide a short description of opportunities, such as research fields and fellowships. It is also possible for institutions to place an ad on the database website if the content is related to the mission of CUR and the Undergraduate Registry.
If you are an administrator or graduate department chair and would like to become a subscriber the database, please register on-line
. Once you have registered you will receive an email with more information including payment instructions and your login information. Once payment has been received and processed by the CUR National Office your login will be activated for use.
CUR believes that this service benefits both students and graduate schools by narrowing the search for the right match. We welcome comments about this program to firstname.lastname@example.org
