Jyron_BaxterStudents are required to submit a technical paper at the conclusion of the program session. The paper should focus on the research conducted during the session, either as a whole or some part of the research experience. The paper is to be written as it would be for publication in a refereed journal, not as a personal experience essay, with a minimum of three and maximum of ten pages using 12 point Times New Roman type. The paper should include the following:
  • Abstract
  • Main Body of Paper (e.g., Introduction, Problem, Method of Solution, Discussion, Conclusions)
  • Acknowledgements (if applicable)
  • References
  • Appendices (if applicable)

Student research papers are to be submitted to the NASA Center Coordinator by the last day of the USRP session. The research paper must be submitted in both hard copy and electronic formats. Students are to provide a hard copy signed by their mentors and either an Adobe Acrobat (pdf) formatted or Microsoft Word file on a disk (floppy or Zip, PC or MAC). The electronic file will be used to post research papers on the NASA-USRP website.
