NASA Undergraduate Student Research Program (NASA-USRP) More

The Council on Undergraduate Research is proud to be a partner with the Virginia Space Grant Consortium in the development and administration of NASA's Undergraduate Student Research Program (USRP). CUR is helping to publicize the program and is producing a new booklet, "How To Mentor Undergraduates", for use in the program. It is now available in an edition for federal agency scientists and  faculty mentors. CUR is also assisting the Va. Space Grant Consortium in the development of a handbook for students who go to an off campus site for an intensive research experience.

 CUR Fellows Awards More

The Council on Undergraduate Research proudly announces the CUR Fellows Awards Program, a program to honor deserving faculty and to celebrate undergraduate research.

Undergraduate Research Posters on Capitol Hill More

The Council on Undergraduate Research has established this special section of the CUR website to provide information to participants in our annual "Undergraduate Research Posters on the Hill" event, which occurs in late March or April. Sixty competitively selected student posters are displayed on the U.S. Capitol during a late afternoon reception. In the morning of the same day, there is an orientation session, followed by visits from students and their faculty mentors to their Representatives and Senators' offices.

 Institutional Liaison Program More

CUR has liaisons at campuses throughout the country.  Liaisons help spread the word about CUR and its programs, as well as inform CUR about what is happening at their campuses.

 Consulting/Mentoring Service More

CUR offers consulting services whereby selected administrators and members of undergraduate faculties serve as consultants to undergraduate science, mathematics and engineering departments, divisions, or colleges and universities.

 Speakers' Bureau More

CUR’s Speaker’s Bureau features approximately 30 speakers and over 60 topics.  A complete listing can be found by clicking on the above link.  The Bureau provides an opportunity for institutions to host visits from individuals who can talk first-hand about the high caliber science being conducted at primarily undergraduate research programs.  These are speakers who can share their experience, insights, and excitement with a broad audience.

 Research Link 2000 More

Research Link 2000 is a project of The Council on Undergraduate Research to bring together biology faculty from colleges and universities to select, develop and disseminate a group of field-tested, experimental systems and instructional materials to support the introduction of research-based experiments in introductory biology courses. It promotes research activities by students and faculty on all levels of the undergraduate curriculum. Funded by the National Science Foundation, DUE, project # 9896223 (1997-2001).

This program promotes collaboration between faculty at primarily under-graduate institutions and NSF Materials Research Centers or faculty who already have NSF support.
