INTERNATIONAL PERSPECTIVES ON UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH AND INQUIRY:
A SCHOLARLY DISCUSSION
Pre-ISSOTL Seminar, Milwaukee WI October 19, 2011, 8:30AM-4:30PM

Posters will play key roles in this seminar. In particular viewing and discussing posters will be central to a number of the sessions. Once received, the delegate's posters will be available for pre-viewing through the seminar web site http://www.cur.org/pre-ISSOTL.html and afterwards will be central to disseminating the seminar proceedings.
All delegates are invited to submit an electronic poster by September 14, 2011 to robin@cur.org for display on the seminar web site before the event. You should also bring a hard copy version with you (posters should not exceed 48 inches wide by 48 inches tall) for display on the day.
We are interested in posters about undergraduate research and inquiry, focussed on the three themes of the symposium:
- Providing undergraduate research opportunities and collaborations across international boundaries
- Building research experiences into first-year and introductory courses
- Transforming curricula to include research and inquiry
Posters should not exceed 48 inches wide by 48 inches tall. They should include Title, Author(s), name of institution(s), and a brief summary. We will hold at least one poster session during the pre-conference to enable participants to present their posters.
All posters have to meet the ‘technical requirements’ for submission – see below.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Document should be sent in Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt or .pptx format) or Adobe .pdf format.
- Document should be no larger than 500KB as .ppt or .pptx, and no larger than 200KB as .pdf.
- File name should be in the following format: ISSOTLLeadAuthorLastNameFirstInitial with no spaces or special characters. For multiple submissions by the same author, add the number 1, 2, etc. (for example: ISSOTLJenkinsA2),
- Documents should be submitted via email attachment to robin@cur.org by September 14, 2011 and include ISSOTL Poster in the Subject line.
If in doubt about these requirements please consult your institutional technical staff.
SEMINAR PRESENTATION
All delegates who have prepared a poster for putting on the seminar website at CUR are expected to bring a hard copy to Milwaukee for display and discussion at the seminar (posters should not exceed 48 inches wide by 48 inches tall).
