Committees

 
 
Standing Committees are constitutionally mandated by the CUR Constitution and By-Laws.  These committees cannot be modified or sunset without a vote of the Council.  These committees include Finance and Nominations. The Executive Board has also approved the NCUR Oversight Committee (NOC) as a standing committee.
 
Continuing Committees are standing committees established by the Executive Board and deemed necessary to the ongoing work of CUR.  The continuing committees include:  Advocacy Advisory, Constitution and Bylaws, SPUR Editors, Investments, Nominations Vetting, and Program Review.
 
Award Review Committees are committees established to solicit and review application for CUR awards and programs. The award committees include CUR Fellows, CUR Goldwater Faculty Mentor Award, Posters on the Hill Review, and the AURA.
 
Conference Committees are committees established to plan CUR conferences and major events.  The program committees include CUR Biennial 2016 and URPD Conference 2017
 
Ad Hoc Committees are task forces or working groups appointed to engage in a specific task for a limited amount of time.  They may be created or abolished as deemed necessary by the Executive Board.  The task forces or working groups include  Enhancing Engagement: Sharing Our Expertise, Strategic Pillars Task Forces (listed below), and the Student Programs Task Force.
