CUR Kids

During the CUR conference, children from 6-14 years are invited to participate in all-day activities through the CUR Kids program. Sports, art projects, musical adventures and scientific exploration will take the CUR Kids all over Weber State University and around the Ogden community. The program is coordinated by a licensed teacher and provides a safe, rich and nurturing environment for children.
Classroom activities, workshops, and field trips will keep CUR Kids busy during the 3.5 day program, Saturday, June 19 - Monday, June 21, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Tuesday June 22, 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Cost includes lunch and snacks. Sample workshops may include a trip to the WSU Ott Planetarium for a Science Workshop and visiting the WSU Avian Ecology Lab to learn all about birds. Plus, CUR Kids will leave campus for some educational field trips such as:
Ogden Nature Center http://www.ogdennaturecenter.org/. It will provide two summer camp activities: ‘Explorers’ and ‘Backstage with Mother Nature’. Weather permitting.
Eccles Dinosaur Park http://www.dinosaurpark.org/. Kids will participate in a wide variety of activities such as a hands-on fossil dig, panning for gold, mining for and splitting geodes, a dinosaur museum, or observing the working paleontology lab. Weather permitting.
Treehouse Museum, http://www.treehousemuseum.org/visiting_treehouse.php. It provides interactive, hands-on exhibits and programs focusing on family literacy, children's literature, the arts, and the humanities.
