At the CUR National Conference in June, 2002, a major symposium on Research Responsibility and Undergraduates was held with support from the Office of Research Integrity, US Department of Health and Human Services, and the National Institutes of Health. A plenary session and 26 workshops were presented, and there were several mealtime discussion topics as well. Informal discussions were held during poster sessions. 
 
      This web page presents the proceedings from that meeting. Included are the program, abstracts, an opinion survey, a news article about the symposium, and a series of full-length manuscripts that have been published in the CUR Quarterly.
In addition, the organizers/facilitators of many of the workshops have provided summaries of events at their workshops.
 
      To augment this information, CUR also provides news on federal policies and guidelines, information on Institutional Review Boards, and a list of resources related to research ethics especially as related to training faculty and undergraduates.
