How to Prepare REU Grant and REU Site Proposals in the Social Sciences

Dr. Jonathon Vaughan from Hamilton College discussed his experiences as a successful grant recipient.  He shared insights on preparing an application for a "renewable" REU grant.  Bonnie Sheean, program director for social, behavioral and economic sciences at the National Science Foundation then answered questions about the application and review process.  Finally, Dr. Thomas E. Ford from Western Michigan University discussed his experiences on an NSF REU site review panel.  He described the composition of the panel, the review criteria, the panel meetings, and characteristics of proposals that the panel evaluated positively.
