Ten Ways to Blow a Grant Proposal

Naomi Amos, Randolph-Macon Woman's College

There were two sessions; the first had an attendance of approximately 70, the second, 46.Both were extremely energetically received by the audience. Following the presentations, the audience posed such questions as "What does faculty do if there is a gap in one's career?" or, "How should I know who to call in a small foundation?"

The sessions were attended by an NIH program officer, a number of new faculty, a large number of associate-level faculty, some deans, members of Petroleum Research Fund. The comments from the professionals were extremely helpful to all.
