Traveling by rail: The closest Amtrak station is in Crawfordsville on U.S. 231, 35 miles North of Greencastle. Contact Amtrak (800-USA-RAIL) for a schedule of arriving trains. www.amtrak.com Traveling by private plane: The Putnam County Airport is on the eastern edge of town approximately 5 miles from the DePauw University campus. The is a 100' by 5,000' runway with AWOS. FBO, fuel, hangers and aircraft maintenance are available.
