The purpose of the Publications Committee is to provide advice to the Executive Committee, Executive Officer, and the General Council on the publications of CUR, including the CUR Quarterly and "How To" series of booklets. The committee consults with the EO on new titles and on pricing for CUR publications.  The committee assists in the selection of editors of the Quarterly and other publications. (Editors are appointed by the President with the advice and consent of the Executive Committee.  The Search Committee for the CUR Quarterly includes the Chair of the Publications Committee.)

The Committee participates in discussions to provide advice on the future of various CUR publications, including the missions of particular publications or series, marketing, advertising policies, copyright, etc. The committee may assist the editors of the CUR Quarterly by providing ideas for themes or other content issues. The Committee advises on editorial structure for the Quarterly and other publications. It assesses member satisfaction with CUR's publications.
