Background:

The purpose of the Outreach Committee is to develop programs and services to support and promote undergraduate student faculty collaborative research as an important part of the educational enterprise.  To this end, the Outreach Committee will:

  • Oversee the institutes program
  • Develop and oversee other outreach programs to meet needs not met by institutes
  • Reach out to individuals and institutions not currently engaged in CUR by sponsoring new institutes, workshops, and other programs to meet the needs of these groups
  • Continually evaluate the effectiveness of programs
  • Communicate information to the National Office and Executive Board as decisions are made
  • Receive and review annual assessments and/or self-evaluations by the institutes and, where appropriate, make suggestions and/or recommendations to the Executive Board and National Office
  • Reports due to National Office at the end of November and beginning of May annually
