Background:

The purpose of the Nominations Committee is to solicit nominations for the elected officers of CUR (President-elect, Treasurer, Secretary). The committee prepares a slate of candidates for CUR elected offices with at least one nominee per office. It oversees the election of officers at the last session of the General Council at the Annual meeting. The Committee also oversees the election of Councilors for each division, by preparing standardized ballots for each division. The committee ensures that sufficient numbers of nominees are on the ballot for divisional councilors, and ensures, with the help of the National Office, that all nominees are members of CUR in good standing.
