Challenge Grant
Received --- We Need Your Support!
CUR has received a gift
commitment to the Brian Andreen Undergraduate Research Fund (BAURF) from an individual donor
for the total amount of $40,000. Part of the gift
is a $25,000 challenge to match dollar for dollar new individual contributions to the
endowment made after January 1, 2000. It is the
donor's intention to: (1) secure the early approval of two BAURF awards at a premier level
each year to honor and recognize the life-long contributions of Brian Andreen to undergraduate
research at primarily undergraduate institutions; and (2) to ensure the further growth of the
BAURF endowment to guarantee this level of significance and recognition in perpetuity.
This challenge is for
all of us who care about undergraduate research. To
help CUR meet this important goal, and to double the value of your gift, we encourage all of
you to give or make a pledge now. All individual
donations and pledges made now can be credited towards the match. To contribute to the Endowment, you may simply send CUR a check for the amount,
with a note indicating that it is for the BAURF Endowment.
