The
Council on Undergraduate Research (CUR) awards a summer fellowship to the
students of faculty members interested in mentoring an undergraduate student at primarily
undergraduate institutions. CUR
fellowships provide a unique opportunity for undergraduate students and
their faculty mentors to engage in approximately ten weeks of full-time
research at their home institution. CUR is pleased to announce
that the American Psychological
Foundation (an affiliate of the APA) is supporting a summer fellowship
in the field of psychology in 2008.
The
Undergraduate Summer Research Fellowship Program provides opportunities
for faculty mentors to support promising undergraduates. The APF
fellowship provides funding for a student stipend and may provide additional
support for travel, faculty honorarium, and equipment expenses.
The student stipend award is $3000.00, the faculty honorarium is $500.00
and an additional $500.00 can be granted for travel, and $500.00 for
supplies and equipment expenses.
